Last November, quite a while back i know, i visited Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris to see Les Années 1990-2000 exhibition. It was two part exhibition showcasing some of fashion main personalties and showing some of there famous work. I found the exhibition truly amazing, being able to see in the flesh some of the work i'd read about and seen walk the runway through my computer screen. The gallery showed work from Dolce & Gabbana, Hussein Chalayan, Issey Miyake, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Maison Martin Margiela, Nicolas Ghesquière, Rei Kawakubo, Vivienne Westwood and numerous other prominent fashion designers. The main items on show were haute couture pieces from each designer. The gallery did also show a few wearable items mainly the items that sculpted trends. Overall the exhibition was well worth making the trip to paris for!
