HANDBAGS HANDBAGS HANDBAGS

So recently I went for an interview and as part of the interview they gave me a brief! They asked me to do a project for them, to come up with two trends for A/W 2014 and design 10 bags for Debenhams, their main client, so instead of just letting the work sit on my laptop like I normally do I thought id share.

So below I developed two trends, Texture Clash and Western!

The Western trend I took inspiration form Calvin Klein, Coach, Missoni, Burberry and Alexander McQueen. I feel like the short pony hair as well croc leather and snakeskin are going be key looks for the coming autumn, as well as cow print and hide. I for one feel this trend is very wearable and mixes effortlessly with the whole boho vibe!

Texture Clash I feel is going to be huge, Peter Pilotto, Kenzo and Proenza Schouler have been big on texture and colour clash this year and I for one cannot wait for it trickle down to the high street! Designing these bags I found especially fun, being able to mess around with different colour ways and print, they might be quite hard to style but the right outfit, eugh perfect!
