Recently watched a Documentary on 4OD called McQueen and I, and I was honestly mesmerised, it came to 6am and I could not take my eyes of the screen. It documents McQueens rise to success and the people who helped him achieve such beauty, such as Isabella Blow. Who is stunning to watch, the whole time I was longing for more clips of her, with her extravagant dresses and beautiful quotes. Theirs a certain whimsical air she has about her, makes you understand how inspirational she was to McQueen. It also tells of the struggles he faced, and honestly the more I write the more I just want to watch it again! I really think this Documentary does his work justice. Last February was the 1 year anniversary of His Death, at the the time I was in paris viewing a collection of garments by some of the greatest designers of our time, including McQueen, and it really hits home what a devastating lose his death was. But with Sarah Burton now designing for McQueen, I'm sure the air and pure creativity the Man himself bought, Burton will continue. And with Sarah Burton being rumoured to be design Kate Middleton's Wedding dress , I'm sure the Royal wedding will be as extravagant as the worlds press will be expecting!
